19-year-old dead after rollover accident in Vernal

VERNAL, Utah – A 19-year-old was killed in a rollover accident in Vernal on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the man and an 18-year-old woman were traveling westbound in a Honda sedan on SR-40 at mile marker 136 at around 12:17 p.m.

The car drifted to the left, crossed the center line and struck a metal barrier. The car then rolled down an embankment and both occupants were ejected.

The 18-year-old woman was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
