Cape Cod man killed in Brewster crash – NBC Boston

A man died in an accident on Cape Cod on Monday afternoon.

Because of the accident, Route 6 was closed in both directions near Exit 85, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation said on social media.

On Tuesday, state police said the driver of a Toyota Tundra, identified as 57-year-old Edward Footer of Chatham, died at the scene of a crash involving three vehicles.

A 24-year-old Yarmouth man was driving an Izuzu truck west when he crossed into the eastbound lanes and collided with Footer's vehicle and a GMC Safari, police said.

The driver from Izuzu was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police said on Tuesday that the cause of the accident was still being investigated. It was not announced whether charges would be filed.
