SCHP: Driver dead, 4 hospitalized after collision in Orangeburg County

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WOLO)– The SC Highway Patrol says one person is dead and several are injured following a car crash Monday in Orangeburg.

It happened on US Highway 321, near the intersection with Baptist Church Road around 4:45 p.m.

According to police, the driver veered off the right side of the road, entered a ditch and overturned.

The driver died at the scene of the accident and all four vehicle occupants were taken to hospitals.

The incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
