Roxbury man identified as victim of Dorchester stabbing

BOSTON – Boston Police officials have identified the victim of a fatal stabbing on Dorchester Avenue as David Abrain, a 52-year-old Roxbury man.

On Friday at approximately 9:59 p.m., officers from Precinct C-11 responded to a call at 1879 Dorchester Ave.

When they arrived, they found that Abrain had numerous stab wounds.

He was quickly transported by Boston EMS to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Boston police are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the stabbing.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Boston Police Department Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.

The ministry stresses that it will protect the identities of those who choose to support the case anonymously.
